Small - Medium Business (SMB) Microsoft Desktop System Restore

This is a flat fee service to restore a "slow", corrupt and/or non-booting Microsoft desktop operating system to original factory condition and install all current Microsoft updates. This service is for Small/Medium Business (SMB) users in North America (Canada, Mexico, USA) only.

The end-user is responsible for providing all operating system media, hardware driver media and valid licenses for the system to be restored.

If the system is not in our regular pickup area, within 30 miles of Jackson, TN, the end-user is responsible for paying for travel fees of 75¢ per mile round trip for us to pick up the system. This fee will be based on mileage calculated for the address given for pickup using the [Directions] tab at http://www.mapquest.com/. The trip fee will be billed on a separate Paypal invoice to be prepaid via credit card or check card. ERACC will travel up to 125 miles to pickup a system outside our regular pickup area. This includes the area in Tennessee from Nashville, TN to Memphis, TN and portions of Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri and Kentucky. If the system is outside of 125 miles of  Jackson, TN, the end-user is responsible for paying for shipping the system to ERA Computers & Consulting for service and for arranging to pay to have the system returned. In most cases only the system enclosure, the case containing hard drive, motherboard, etcetera, is needed. No monitor, keyboard or mouse need be shipped, again this is in most cases.

What ERACC will do:

  • Run diagnostics on the computer for 24 hours to verify all hardware our diagnostics can test. If hardware is discovered to be defective the end-user will be contacted prior to any further work being done on the system.
  • Wipe the hard drive bare.
  • Restore the system to original factory condition.
  • Install updated drivers if available.
  • Connect to Microsoft Update and get all current updates.
  • Verify the system is working.
  • Ship the system back to the end-user using the end-user's pre-arranged shipping method.

Options we offer:

  • Attempt to recover data or backup data from the hard drive prior to system restore. Return any backup data to the hard drive following system restore. The hard drive must be in working condition for this. Adds $50.00 to the cost even if recovery is unsuccessful.
  • Reinstall applications per end-user request. End-user must supply the application media and licenses. Adds $25.00 per application requested.

On average it takes 5 business days for turn around on this service. A system we receive on a Friday will usually not be done before the following Thursday. Expedited service is available for an additional fee which is determined in advance by contacting ERACC.
